A Message to Deliver (2 Peter)
Bible Passages on Succession: Post 8 of 8
Summary: Peter wrote this letter with the awareness that his time on earth was ending (2 Peter 1:14). He distilled his Wisdom and perspective into 61 verses. A leader with his experience could have easily penned an entire library. Perhaps this is part of the genius of his 2nd letter. Of all the things that could have been said, these are the 61 verses the Spirit led him to write.
Key Insight: The gift of Wisdom and age is the ability to cut through the clutter and point people to what's most important.
